Carrie Neuner - Violin, Viola, Cello

Carrie received her Bachelor of Music Education (K-12 Strings) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004 with Honors. At the University of Illinois she performed in the University Symphony and served as Concertmaster of the Illini Symphony.

Carrie has directed orchestras in the Champaign school district and also the Temple ISD. Carrie started studying the violin at the age of four under the tutelage of Uli Reiner a well-known Suzuki instructor in San Diego, CA. She continued violin when her family moved to Chicago and started lessons with Drostan Hall, who studied under the famous Vermeer Quartet of Chicago. Under Mr. Hall, of The Hall School of Music, she had the opportunity to participate in Master Classes with David Taylor, co-concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. Zinger from DePaul University.

Since moving to Austin, Carrie has started her own string studio of 38 students. She enjoys teaching students ages 5 - adult. She also gives private lessons, during the day, in the Round Rock Independent School district. Carrie serves as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Austin Civic Orchestra.
