Craig Thigpen  -  Guitar, Bass

Craig has been teaching guitar and bass lessons AND playing professionally in the Austin area for over 20 years now and has developed a real passion for teaching. His students range from all ages, beginners to advanced.

Craig tries to develop a broad way of dealing with each student on a highly personalized basis in order to allow the student's interest to be incorporated into the lesson as much as possible. He believes that this keeps the student's interest in playing their instrument more thaqn any other single factor. Craig also enjoys teaching a wide variety of styles including all styles of Rock (from Hendrix to Van Halen, Led Zepplin to AC/DC and beyond).

Craig is also proficient in Blues, Jazz and Classical styles as well, and offers music theory lessons for those who are interested. These lessons include how to write songs, read music and how to play solos in different styles and techniques.

Craig has studied Music Composition and Jazz at the University of Texas and continues to educate himself about all facets of music on an almost daily basis.
